practice with informal education of children and youth, development of their social skills,
integration into the life of society and preparation for the future.
It was also about the support and development of educators in this topic.
They invited foreign speakers from Finland and us from Slovakia to share our experience.
The participants of the conference experienced with us a demonstration workshop of Life
Science, where they had the opportunity to experience the course of Life Science teaching
and get to know the methodology and content of the four thematic areas of this educational
program.
In Lithuania and Europe, non-formal education is generally recognized as an effective tool
for the development of a person's social-emotional competences, solving the problems of
integrating young people into society and comprehensive personality development.
Informal educational activities are aimed at developing a creative, critical-thinking
personality who can make decisions, ask bold questions and has a burning desire to live and
change.
This area of education creates an alternative space for learning and development, opens
opportunities for meaningful leisure time and recreation for children.
During the conference, experts from Lithuania, Finland, and Slovakia
they revealed the importance of informal education for the development of a child's
personality, presented the forms and methods of informal education of children and youth,
and shared experiences from the assessment of acquired competences in informal ways.
